Like most unrealistic Dirty F'n Hippies, I am outraged by both the assaults on the Constitution by Team Bush and the GOP as well as the unflinching resolve by Decent Responsible, Upstanding, Serious Adult Democrats to hand him every last thing he desires.
Between the sheer power of a minority GOP and the sheer dedication of Democratic leadership to give them what they want, people like me feel pretty powerless and totally shut out.
Well, here in Georgia there is a Bush Democrat named "John Barrow" and he is up for re-election and he has a primary fight on his hands.

we're starting today with John Barrow (GA12), who betrayed us on both votes. Watch Barrow pledge his complete devotion to George Bush during Friday's warrantless wiretapping debate.
Georgia's primaries are on July 15 - just 3 weeks away. And Barrow is facing a dramatic primary challenge from State Senator Regina Thomas.
Here are some of Ms. Thomas's words on the recent FISA capitulation by our "leaders"
"I was really appalled at the actions of Congress and especially my Congressman from the 12th District in Georgia, John Barrow, for voting in favor of the Bush-Republican surveillance bill that would make it very easy, without a warrant, to wiretap any American citizen."
Barrow is unacceptably right-leaning and he has to go.
Since this is a very local sort of election - I can't even vote for her - I am hoping that folks here who are skilled in drumming up support for primarying UNDESIRABLES out of the Democratic party would look kindly upon Ms. Thomas and steer some karma her way. I wish to do SOMETHING to aid in this as well so bright ideas welcome in the comments section.
Let's get rid of John Barrow and send a message to the capitulators, the handwringers, and the appeasers.
Life is too short to suffer Bush Democrats.
